If you love hiking and wants to photograph amazing places around the world, Google has some work for you. You can now sign-up to borrow Google’s Trekker which is a personalized version of Google’s street view car. Google Trekker which is basically a backpack equipped with special camera to capture 360 degree view of your surrounding.
The Backpack weighs 42 pounds ( 19 Kg ) which makes it slight tough to wear for a long distance. Previously Google only lets select employees and few third party organization to take Trekker to capture the scenic locations around the world.
Google says in its online application
If you represent an organization such as a tourism board, non-profit, government agency, university or research group that would like to take photos with the Trekker for future inclusion on Google Maps, please fill out this form.
Though its unclear, how much monetary compensation Google will provide to volunteers.
